Pretzel & Otto

Season’s End; the Last Hoorah!

Dog Park Patron Appreciation Day was an unbridled success! Sixteen dogs and their bipedal best friends showed up to celebrate the end of a most enjoyable inaugural season at Two Harbors Community Dog Park. The weather was dry, the coffee stayed warm, and every dog strutted away with a bag of peanut butter & honey recipe buckaroo biscuits from Matilda’s Dog Bakery. City Councilor Robin Glaser, who was instrumental in establishing the dog park, stopped by to chat and enjoy a cup o’ joe with us as well. Thank you Councilor Glaser!

Mother nature even chipped in to make the event more memorable! A huge flock of happy honking Canadian geese lifted off from the adjacent Lakeview National Golf Course and rocked the dog park with a Southwesterly flyover worthy of any major sporting event!

And most of all thank YOU, dedicated pet parents, for providing your dogs the opportunity to live healthier, more enjoyable lives! Our small community is fortunate to have extensive walking trails, a dog park, vet clinics, dog sitters, a nearby dog bakery and a dedicated Humane Society; all of which enable caring pet parents to provide a better life for their furry friends!

We’ll be dismantling the dog park this week as the outdoor ice rink once again becomes the domain of the hockey players. But please keep abreast with Two Harbors Dog Park via our website and Facebook page. We will periodically post updates throughout the winter months as Friends of Two Harbors Dog Park works to establish a year-round permanent dog park, raise funds and connect people & dogs within our community.
Good times! Woof-woof!
