We’re proud to announce that Friends of Two Harbors Dog Park was successful with its Operation Round-Up Grant application and will receive $200, which will be put towards the construction of the dog park’s agility equipment! This will free up some funds from our sweatshirt fundraiser for other expenses such as the nifty new posters you’ll be seeing up around town soon advertising the re-opening of the dog park in May.
Big thanks to those Lake County residents who have agreed to pay a few cents more and “round-up” each utility bill to the nearest dollar. The “spare change” becomes the pool of money that is then distributed by the Cooperative Light & Power of Lake County Community Trust to successful grant applicants for community projects such as ours.
The agility equipment will add an entirely new dimension to the dog park and will enable more people to enjoy the facility. Tails will be wagging this summer for sure!
Ian Fritz, Director and “Top Dog” at Friends of Two Harbors Dog Park, will attend the Cooperative Light & Power Board of Directors Meeting at the Two Harbors High School Auditorium on April 29th to proudly accept the check.
