Big thanks to the dozen roughnecks from the Dog Park’s corps of Engineers who came out on this glorious holiday to put together the Two Harbors Community Dog Park! They did a great job and got her together in short order! What an improvement over our inaugural build last year where there were only four of us and a hot sun! Special thanks to “Pit Boss” Whalen who grilled us up a smorgasbord of brats and sauerkraut to keep the crew going!
Five dogs joined the fun to keep things lively and disorderly as well! They had a great time testing out the new agility course. Puppy even conquered the A frame on his first day! His dad Bill has a unique way of training him which can best be described as “follow my lead” as you’ll see in the pictures…
Thank you Cooperative Light and Power whose Round-up Grant paid for the construction of the dog park’s agility pieces including the hurdle, A frame, weave poles and pause box. Thank you City of Two Harbors and the crew at the City Garage for letting us use the electrical generator which powers the tools used in the construction…We’ll get ‘er back Tuesday!
Two Harbors Community Dog Park is open for the season and Friends of Two Harbors Dog Park will be sponsoring meet-ups every Wednesday night at 6 PM and Saturday morning at 10 AM all season long starting this week. Come check us out…it’s where the dog are!
